About Us

A publishing partner built with intention

Wise guidance. Real momentum. Beautiful execution.

Our Story

Olive, Ember & Ink began when our founder set out to publish her own book and discovered how limiting the available paths could be. Large self-publishing services offered ease, but not the level of support or quality she expected. High-volume vanity presses felt misaligned with the brand she had worked so hard to build. Traditional publishers offered prestige, yet their long timelines and limited author control felt like huge sacrifices.

It became clear that authors deserved a better option. They should not have to choose between DIY overwhelm, impersonal, volume-driven services, or publishing pipelines that move too slowly for their goals. Books deserve craftsmanship. Authors deserve clarity, respect, and a partner who treats their work with care.

Olive, Ember & Ink was created as that partner. A selective hybrid press with a simple three-part promise: Wise guidance (olive), real momentum (ember), and beautiful execution (ink).

Why Olive, Ember & Ink?

1

A Press for Serious Nonfiction

We focus exclusively on business, expert, and idea-driven nonfiction: fields where precision, design quality, and credibility matter.

2

Strategic Expertise

With a marketing professor at the helm, your book benefits from proven strategic thinking—not hype, not guesswork.

3

Transparency & Fairness

You keep your rights and royalties. Your contract and pricing are clear from the outset. Your process is defined. Your time is respected.

4

Craftsmanship, Not Volume

We intentionally publish a limited number of books each year, so every author receives thoughtful attention, clear communication, and careful stewardship throughout the process.

We'll take the time up front to make sure we're a great fit, so the process is both successful and genuinely pleasant.
